Musa cautions Ighalo on patience

CSKA Moscow winger Ahmed Musa believes a move to a "bigger" club would detrimentally affect the career of Watford attacker Odion Ighalo.
Ighalo has been a revelation for the Hornets this campaign, hitting 14 league goals to power the newly-promoted side to the top half of the Barclays Premier League standings.

Spanish club Atletico Madrid reportedly watched him on no less than five occasions this season with a promise to double his wages as they tried to lure him with the prospect of a tabling a £12-million deal for his services.
Musa however feels a move in the January transfer window would unsettle Ighalo.
“When it comes to issues like these, you usually leave the decision to the person that it affects directly so it is not really for me to say.
“However, if I was to advise him, I would ask him to remain at Watford at least for now because if he leaves, it could affect him.
“I also believe he will score a lot more if he chooses to remain at Watford,” Musa told Nigeria Info FM.
The Super Eagles captain concluded by voicing his sentiments on the "important" role he expects Ighalo to play in Nigeria’s 2017 Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon) qualifying double header with Egypt in March.
“He (Ighalo) is one of the players we expect to play an important role in the two games against Egypt in March.
“I am sure he will do well and that will help us to qualify for the Afcon,” he said.
Watford have since issued an official statement to the effect that Ighalo is not for sale under any circumstances.
